Description: An industrial company and leader in the processing and
distribution of sheet and ribbed glass and raw material for glass which
was established 20 years ago in central Venezuela. The company has its
own land and buildings (plants and offices) and a branch in Maturín,
Monagas State.
Its products are: 1) tempered, structured plane glass; 2) glosses;
3) plane glass for the automobile industry; 4) doors; 5) Mirrors. In addition,
the plant manufactures mirrors for the cosmetics industry; doors for bathtub
and shower enclosures, plus small appliances and sound equipment, televisions,
etc.
The company exports to the following countries: Santo Domingo, Peru,
Ecuador, Bolivia, Central America, Guyana, Brazil, Trinidad, Colombia,
Puerto Rico and the United States.

TELECOMMUNICATIONS SECTOR
Objective: Total or partial sale of the company to a strategic partner
with the capacity to provide financial support and contribute access to
new local and/or international markets, and technology. This combination

being sought.
Description: Company founded in 1993 engaged in providing on-line telecommunications
services. In 1995, the company began to provide Internet and Intranet
services and is a pioneer in this field in Venezuela. The company obtained
one of the first concessions granted by Conatel in this area and the directors
of the company have more than 15 years of experience in telecommunications.
In addition, the company has national coverage and will soon have international
coverage. Its sales and technical support offices can be found in Caracas,
Coro, Maracay, Puerto La Cruz, Punto Fijo, Valencia and Valera and will
soon open new regional nodes.
At present, it has approximately 3000 subscribers, a number that increases
daily.
Some of the services the company provides are the following:
E-mail, total access to the WEB, BBS, Fidonet, e-business, training
and seminars, chat room and telephone conversations, support and personalized
services, off-shore connection.
Technical aspects: connection speed of up to 56 KBPS, connection reliability
(redundant), more than 180 telephone access lines.

Description: The Ecological Tourism Hacienda and facilities are located
some 3 1//2 hours from Caracas and 5 minutes from Calabozo. Visitors to
this area can observe the day-to-day work that is done on the Venezuelan
savanna, as well as the breathtaking flora and fauna and a large variety
of native birds and fishes. The "Hacienda" is bordered by two large rivers
and the Calabozo Dam is some 10 km north of the site. Services include
14 comfortable double and quadruple rooms, all the amenities, bar, excursions
on horseback, animal watching, fishing, a natural mineral water jacuzzi,
plus photo safaris.
What is captivating is the fact that there are different natural environments
in the vicinity of the Hacienda, such as the open savanna, lagoons, forests,
prairies, tidelands, and even a beautiful mangrove swamp right on the premises.
At present, large extensions of the land have been planted with "star-type"
grass, and some 800 hectares are perfect for cattle ranching and planting
corn and sorghum. There is abundant fine-grade lumber in the forest, such
as the "samán" (rain tree), whose wood is highly prized in the local
lumber industry and also provides shade and fodder for cattle.
The hacienda is accessible from Calabozo by asphalt road, except for
the last 2,400 meters, which are covered with gravel. Inside the hacienda
there are 32 kilometers of internal roads and the property is fully fenced.
The hacienda has electricity and two equipped houses, including air conditioning
and a kitchen, as well as a 1000 meter landing strip.
There is a good supply of labor in the area and low-cost access to
and from towns, since the urban centers like San Juan de los Morros, Maracay,
Valencia, Barquisimeto and Caracas, with a total of almost 8 million inhabitants
are only a few hours away.
Company 4: TOURIST SECTOR

Description: The hotel/inn is in Cubiro, Lara State. The main entrance
and the restaurant occupy what was a colonial house. The hotel is built
on 1492 m2 of land and has a spectacular view of the Quibor valley. There
are 18 rooms all with bath /shower and the hotel has capacity for 64 guests.
Other amenities are: a meeting room, sauna, gym, bar/restaurant, etc.,
and just for your information, all the furniture was made by German craftsmen
especially for the hotel.

Description: A company that has been operating since 1993 with headquarters
in Caracas (Los Palos Grandes) and franchises in Caracas and other cities.
The number of franchisees is growing continuously and the company will
soon expand to the Caribbean and Andean countries.
The principal clients are in the following areas: aesthetics, rehabilitation
and individuals interested in staying in shape.
Company 6: METALLURGY
SECTOR ñ Petroleum

Description: A company founded in 1985 and Venezuelan manufacturer
of conduit boxes, accessories and equipment for electric conduits in classified
areas and/or highly corrosive areas. This companyís products have been
extensively used for more than a decade in oil, chemical and petrochemical
installations in the country, especially by the top companies engaged in
large-scale projects. The company has a modern plant in central Venezuelan
and highly qualified personnel, modern manufacturing processes and stringent
quality control ñ ISO 9001. This quality control system is regularly checked
by PDVSA and Intevep. In addition, the company has the US UL stamp of approval
and CERTIVEN certification issued by Fondo Norma (an indispensable requirement
for explosion-proof equipment).
The company has been supplying the main companies in the oil sector
for more than a decade, as for example: operating companies, engineering
companies, contractors and has signed supply agreement with some of them.
The companyís products have been installed in refineries, petrochemical
plants, gas injection plants, flow stations, fuel distribution plants,
marine terminals, cryogenic plants, etc. Some of the projects in which
it has participated are the following: PIGAP, ACCRO I and II, FURRIAL,
NUMREP, LFIE, PARC, CRAY, ALKYLATION, SISOR, OSAMCO, ETHANE, HDS, TAEJ,
ORIMULSION, OLEFINS.

Description: A company founded in 1983 with headquarters in Caracas
and branches in Puerto La Cruz and Curacao.
The company specializes in providing microcomputer support and a Help
Desk for large corporate customers.
The company has multi-year contracts with customers in the chemicals,
petroleum, banking and refining sectors in Venezuela and abroad.

8: AGROINDUSTRIAL SECTOR
Objective: Total or partial sale of the company to a strategic partner
with the capacity to provide financial support and contribute access to
new local and/or international markets. This combination of factors is
not exhaustive or limiting and the combination and presence of some of
these will be considered an additional incentive for the partnership being
sought.
Description: This agroindustrial company is located in Lara State,
at an altitude of 1700 to 1900 meters above sea level, north of the Andean
Range and overlooking the Quibor Valley. The ranch covers 117 hectares
and is private property. At present, 65 hectares of Kuyuko grass has been
planted and another 15 hectares are being prepared for planting. The ranch
has electricity, two fully equipped houses, a cheese factory with a milking
room and storeroom for concentrated feed, a workshop and housing for the
workers, a 400 m2 barn for cattle, three ponds with a capacity of 45,000,
10,000 and 6,000 m3, respectively, a 200 m3 tank for fresh water that supplies
the houses, cheese factory, milking room and 9 troughs for cattle. There
are currently 140 Holstein and Swiss brown dairy cows, which are in different
stages of production and reproduction. The current milk production is 1300
liters per day, on a low supply of concentrated feed, Kuyuko grass and
Australian white clover. A project to manufacture Gruyere cheese has almost
been completed. It is estimated that total sales of Gruyere cheese will
amount to Bs. 234,000,000 with operating expenses of Bs. 172,000,000.
